1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Using electric mixer, beat egg whites until foamy.
3. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff.
4. Add salt and fold in pecans and chips.
5. Place aluminum foil on cookie sheet.
6. Drop dough by half spoonful on ungreased foil.
7. Place in oven.
8. Turn oven off. DO NOT OPEN!
9. Leave cookies in closed oven overnight.
10. Next morning, they're done!

before Christmas to bake these cookies for them. They are the only kind they
