No, you haven't read it wrong. Ricky actually took Hitler to work with him a few weeks ago. Hitler, of course, is Ricky's evil pet bird. Faithful readers will recall that Hitler was responsible for the death of his mate last year. She died of pneumonia after Hitler had mercilessly pecked out all her feathers!!

       This time it was Hitler who needed protection. Sinister elements had invaded Ricky's apartment! The lovely Arwen Galadriel, the Fan's fabulous feline, had inadvertantly brought some overly-friendly mathematical fleas into Ricky's "Inner Sanctum!" These fleas had defied ordinary removal methods and were multiplying far beyond the apartment's capacity. Ricky decided on drastic measures and prepared to "bomb" them to smithereens!

       During the fogging of the apartment, Arwen was content to remain outdoors; but Hitler had nowhere to go except with Ricky, since his usual birdsitter was not available. So Hitler was chauffeured to the workplace in Ricky's limo and spent the day as Quality Control Overseer for Ricky's print jobs. There he made his usual "fowl" impression and when day was done, Hitler was actually glad to return to his familiar perch in Ricky's computer room.
