Enough roundsteak for your needs
1 packet of brown or onion gravy mix
Shortening or oil
3/4 cup of water

1. Slice roundsteak into very thin strips.
2. Melt shortening in fry pan and brown meat.
3. Add gravy mix and water.
4. Cover pan and simmer until meat is tender.
5. Add additional water so that you end up with gravy.
6. Season to your taste.
7. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.

Cook's Comments :
Try this delicious variation: Marinate strips in teriyaki sauce for several hours before browning.
